GreenSCENT – Smart Citizen Education for a Green Future – aims to educate and empower the people of Europe to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors by fostering empathy for the planet. This goal is achieved through three primary tools:
- GreenSCENT Box: A collection of digital, physical, and hybrid educational technologies designed to promote environmental awareness and engagement.
- Competence Framework: A comprehensive framework covering all areas of the Green Deal, providing structured learning and understanding of environmental principles.
- Green Licence: A European certification for climate and environmental competences and skills, enabling individuals to make informed and sustainable choices.
These tools work together to provide accessible and practical education, engaging 16 partners across 11 countries and involving 45 schools and universities. GreenSCENT focuses on making green and smart education available to all, thereby encouraging widespread behavioral changes towards environmental sustainability.
