The fight against social exclusion and the promotion of social justice and fundamental rights have long been key objectives of the European Union. The 8% of Europeans live in conditions of serious material deprivation, even worse in the case of population groups at risk.
This project has been framed in the European Disability Strategy 2010-2020 and in the European Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion. His aim was to encourage people with intellectual disabilities to actively participate in the search for solutions to reduce this situation in European territory.
Students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and professionals from the four European country partners (Spain, Poland, Hungary, and Turkey), worked together to understand the concepts of poverty and social exclusion. To do this, they adapt existing documents on the subject.
They have found and created ideas to fight poverty and then they have shared their experience in transnational mobilities.
They have created synergies with entities in their territory whose objective is to fight poverty and social exclusion.
They have created materials adapted to make the subject accessible to all audiences in dissemination and awareness events in each country.
